"Can We Talk?" Santa Monica Q & A Returns

Have you got your questions ready?
We're getting ready for Wilmont's 2011 edition of the popular "Can We Talk?" series. Our City Manager, Rod Gould, will present an overview of the City and its plans for the next year, with special attention to Wilmont. He will be accompanied by senior staff from many of our City departments, including Police, Fire, Planning and others. They will all be available to answer our questions.
We've attached a flyer detailing Wilmont's session and one from the City listing the presentations to each of the neighborhood groups. If you cannot get to our session, perhaps you can get to the session for another group.
In the past, this meeting has largely focused on the upcoming budget process. Last year, Santa Monica started using a biennial process for budgeting and adopted the first two-year budget. This means that we will have time to talk about issues such as transit, parking, waste management, sustainability, and other areas of concern. We may even discuss the visioning process for the future of Santa Monica Airport.
While you're thinking about what you'd like to ask, you can review Santa Monica's 2010-11 Year End Report at http://www.smgov.net/Main/City_of_Santa_Monica_Annual_Report_FY2010-11.aspx which details significant work for all City departments.
The meeting will be on Monday, November 21, at 7pm in the east room of the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium. There will be plenty of free parking for attendees. (How often do we get to say that in Santa Monica?)
