Interim Police Chief Jacqueline Seabrooks joined us to talk about three subjects:
-May 31st OIR Report - The report outlines recommendations in response to the protest/looting in Santa Monica on May 31, 2021. -Reed Park - We’ll ask for the Chief's thoughts on how to activate Reed and make it safer and more available for residents.
-New 'Public Safety Reform and Oversight Commission - Who's on it? What will it do? How will it work with SMPD/Council?
SMMSUD is planning a preschool at Roosevelt Elementary School – Ann Hoover, who spoke at NOMA on this topic, will discuss the neighborhood impacts, PLUS details on the District's extensive construction plans and the impact on open space.
