​Anastasia Foster:  Santa Monica Rent Control Board Commissioner will provide a broad overview of issues and opportunities for Santa Monica renters including: COVID-19 rent relief funds from HOUSING IS KEY (housing.ca.gov or call 833-432-2122), eviction protections, discussion of surcharges from property that have sold since March 2018, how to handle buyout agreements from landlords and need for properties of five or more unit must have state-mandated organics recycling bins already (Neil Shapiro will be talking about that program later in meeting).  Reach the Santa Monica Rent Control Board (you elected them, let them help you) at santamonica.gov/rentcontrol or call 310-458-8751.
