May 3rd, 2022 Meeting

Dear Wilmont Members, Neighbors and Friends,
Our May meeting is Tuesday, May 3rd (We meet the first Tuesday of every month) from 7 – 8:30 PM via Zoom.

Michael Soloff, Former Housing Commission Chair on the Voter Initiative  to discuss the voter initiative by Soloff, Mayor Sue Himmelrich and Jon Katz (SM Dem Club President) to raise in excess of $50 million per year for homelessness prevention, affordable housing and public schools by an increase in the tax on sales or transfers of real estate worth $8 million or more.
Co-partner Nick Dumerge of BP Vintage (proposed retail wine shop with wine tastings that also features high end vintage clothing at 1025 Montana):  He (co-partner with Jenny Rush – original founder of Blue Plate) will discuss this proposed business which is seeking two licenses (Sale of beer and wine, Instructional Tasting License) at the June 1st Planning Commission meeting.
Erica Cuyugan (Interim Library Director) and Karen Reitz (Adult Services and Community Outreach): These SM Library leaders will be providing us with an update regarding the SM libraries including hours, available services and what the future will bring.
Wilmont Chair Elizabeth Van Denburgh will be discussing community issues including the Oceana Hotel revote regarding expansion of guests for restaurant/bar.
