Police Chief Ramon Batista (7 – 7:30 pm): Chief Batista was sworn in on October 18th. Chief Batista has been generous to join us early in his time with Santa Monica to introduce himself and meet Wilmont. Please join us to welcome the new chief.
City Council Member Phil Brock (7:30 – 8:15 pm): Council member Phil Brock will join us and give us a brief update and we will have a chance to “ask a council member” portion of the evening.
Neighborhood Updates by Wilmont Chair, Elizabeth Van Denburgh (8:15 – 8:30 pm): Update on CA Incline, Oceana appeal of having non-guests ability to dine/drink at hotel and local business update.

We have TWO informative discussions and guests Tuesday night:

​​Brian Stecher - Redistricting from the 2020 Census at the County and State level. 
Dr. Brian Stecher has been a policy researcher, educational program director, teacher and Santa Monica resident. In 2019, Brian retired from RAND, where he worked for 30 years as a Senior Social Scientist studying national and state education policy.
Diana Gordon - What are they and why should we care about the RHNA, Housing Element, state density bonuses, SB 9 and SB 10? Ms. Gordon is a Santa Monica resident, community advocate, lawyer, artist and Co-Chair of the Santa Monica Coalition for a Livable City (smclc.org)
